Handwoven scarf
This scarf has been handwoven by Jade Ogden in the Mendips, Somerset. It’s made with an undyed soft Shetland wool, from sheep that have been holistically and regeneratively reared, high on the Mendip Hills. The colourful yarns that create the eye-catching pattern are Donegal Tweed and British lambswool
The scarf measures 18cm x 152cm (incl. tassels)

Weaving Process
In the images, you can see some of the weaving process – from creating the warp to threading the loom. Weaving is a very slow craft, where a lot of the work is focused on preparing the yarn and setting the loom. For these scarves, 110 threads are prepared and individually hand-threaded through the loom, before the weaving even begins!
