Every Woodle Book has been hand made in Kent, where Aimee’s studio is. Each book has been carefully put together to make the perfect notebook. The books are made to feel great in your hands and not be too heavy in a bag for travelling. They have all been bound so even people who are left-handed can use them with comfort and ease as they all open flat, this sort of attention to detail is what makes Woodle Books extra special. Aimee was trained at Windsor Castle in Book Conservation, these techniques are used in the notebooks she makes so these lovely notebooks can be passed down as family heirloom if you wanted for a good few hundred years.
All endpapers are sourced from incredibly talented designers and are not the work of Woodle Books. Designs are from Lagom ,who have sourced and work closely with a wide range of amazing designers and artists like Hanna Werning and Naomi Wilkinson, splatter papers are from master marbler Jemma Lewis.
The origins of this quote always surprises people! it’s not some lofty quote from a highbrow book or a quote by some intellectual. This is a quote from a book called Scoring Wilder by R.S. Grey published in 2013. It’s a romance fiction book and by all accounts gets a touch steamy in places. I love that such a feminist icon quote is taken from a romance novel, it tickles me where these sorts of things come from and love that a lot of people have no idea when getting it tattooed or having it as a poster in their house, i wonder if people will change their opinion of it when they know where it comes from? I love that its a quote from a book and want to look more into when it first came about and who first made it into an inspirational poster.
Each Book is handmade here in England using recycled fibres.
