Repurposed Cashmere Bunny Grey

£45.00

Handmade repurposed cashmere bunny filled with organic sheep’s wool and organic lavender.

Available on back-order

Sold By: Mims Heritage

Description

Keepsake bunnies made using repurposed boiled cashmere knitwear, filled with organic sheep’s wool and organic lavender. Squeeze bunny’s tummy to release the calming lavender aroma.

Made by hand in the UK, each bunny is individual and comes with their own quirky personality. Each colour is limited.

The bunnies are filled with fine balled organic sheep’s wool allowing the limbs to be malleable, the legs are hinged by the joining seam allowing the bunny to sit. A small pouch of organic lavender and recycled glass micro beads is inserted into the belly area; the glass micro beads are like large grain sand and offer resistance to the lavender buds, allowing the scent to be released. The pouch is made using organic bamboo jersey.

Due to the use of repurposed cashmere knitwear the bunnies are sold as keepsakes and have NOT been certified, any contact with babies or children is at the discretion of the user.

MIMS heritage products are individually handmade using repurposed boiled wool and cashmere knitwear. Using reclaimed textiles means each item is unique and brings with it its own narrative.

Love, enjoy and carry on the story!

About the Maker:

MIMS heritage embraces simple, conscious living led by tradition and utility. Each item is hand made and finished using natural fabrics.

Flora Mims trained in Textiles at Goldsmith’s College where her passion for working with wool and colour began.  Since then she has continued to explore the possibilities of wool fibres and fabric, developing methods of boiling and shaping, celebrating the inherent delights of texture and colour that wool offers.

She works with both natural and found colour as well as overdying using natural dyestuffs.

Mims heritage is her collection of constructed wool products using virgin and repurposed boiled wool and cashmere and includes children’s slippers, bunnies, hot water bottle covers and accessories.

Flora now works from her studio on the North Norfolk coast. She places great importance on using natural fibres and and on working consciously, providing everyday luxury to treasure and enjoy.
