About the Maker:

Furrow is an expressive jewellery and accessories brand based in the English Lake District, founded and created by artist and designer Midori Fullerton. The creativity behind Furrow designs come from a connection with environment, landscape and the abstract, receiving inspiration from nature and the arresting moments within our everyday that often go unnoticed. This is at times expressed more literally, but as well as aesthetically through shape, colour, texture and three-dimensional form. What is essential to the design of Furrow is the sense of whimsy and playfulness in bead weaving motifs and abstract compositions.  All of our jewellery is handmade to order, with a small selection of our products being one of a kind small-batch readymade. Not only does this allow every little bit of detail and care to go into each item as it’s produced, but it is with this mindful approach to making we limit waste and establish an eco-conscious footprint. Furrow evolved from a poetic and conceptual take on the word itself. It embodies ideas such as the abstract gesture of forming a line by needle and thread, the inherent groove of a row of beads, and a connection to nature through design and inspiration. Furrow looks to nurture a space that allows and welcomes growth, development and change. We hope to bring a radiance of a mark and a wrinkle formed by a smile to those who find and wear us!
