Sandwich Wrap- Petrol Blue

Petrol Blue

Sold By: Bric Company

Take a table with you! As well as holding your sandwiches, these wraps can double up as a convenient dining mat. They are designed to fit stylishly and practically into your life, whether that’s as part of a daily commute, taking in your favourite river walk or climbing a mountain. You’ll never have to get tangled up in cling-film again.

Like all of our Brics, the Sandwich Wrap is made out of durable cotton canvas.  The edges are bound in a contrasting colour for extra panache, and the sturdy webbing straps are simple to tie. It has a sewn in waterproof lining that is hardwearing and easily wiped cleaned, at the same time as having a luxury soft feel.

When it’s ready for a wash pop it in the washing machine on a 30 degree cycle with similar colours. Because the outer shell of our wraps are made of Duck Cotton Canvas it means they are strong and weather resistant to a point.

About the Maker:

Bric company make reusable canvas Lunch bags and wraps. All our products are hand made in Bristol by it's founder Bianca Ward. Bric Company is a company that encourages sustainable attitudes to buying food and eating it, avoiding single-use products. We value practicality: our durable cotton-canvas pouches pack down to nothing in your bag, freeing you up for life on the move, whether that's as part of a busy working week, a picnic in the park, or a trek into the hills.

Our carefully crafted products are the result of years’ worth of design experience working with textiles and costume.  But just as important as the technical skills gained, have been the many, many meals eaten on the go, whether for work or pleasure.  After carrying round one empty Tupperware container too many, we were determined to find a solution that didn’t involve contributing to landfill or to throwaway attitudes to food and packaging.

And so began a journey of research and development taking in countless prototypes, with influences as diverse as Japanese food culture to cutting edge material engineering. With the support of local businesses and training organisations, and in the company of academics, friends and family, we have worked to produce a design that is both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sound.
