Description
Knitted in a bespoke Shetland-Romney lambswool yarn from a farm in Somerset, this beanie hat is soft, warm and cosy for the winter months. The ribbed brim is knitted in yarn hand dyed by Ria with homegrown coreopsis flowers, with the body left plain to showcase the natural heathery tones of the yarn. It’s knitted by Ria on vintage hand powered knitting machines in her Bristol studio.
Available in one size which will fit all adult heads – the stretchy rib ensures a good fit for all genders.
Due to the nature of natural dyeing, colours may vary slightly to the sample shown.

About the Maker:
Ria Burns Knitwear aims to champion the natural hues and qualities of British wool, incorporating vibrant flashes of colour through hand dyeing with homegrown and foraged plants.
Inspired by the conflict between the natural and the man-made, this translates into a knitwear collection that is an antidote to fast fashion, designed for longevity and made to be cherished, looked after and passed on.
Ria is continually working on ways in which her pieces can be produced more sustainably and has a three point action plant to work from - local wool, local plants, local production.
