About the Maker:
I'm Ruth.
I make ceramics for sensitive souls.
My work is filled with tender thoughts of romance, nostalgia and melancholy. Like moods that are constantly shifting, my work ranges from happy to blue, silly to serious. I use colour, pattern and drawing to resonate with those who collect my work and use it everyday.
Graduating with a Degree in Fine Art in 2012, I make art that is functional and accessible but has the feeling and sense of connection that you might find in a gallery setting.
I am mostly self taught and make everything by hand in my home studio in Sheffield, UK.
