Screen printed blackbird designed to hang in your home. Each blackbird comes with cotton twine to hang from.
The blackbirds are screen printed (from a lino cut design) on both sides, onto FSC approved birch plywood.

Available in four colour ways (purple ink, green smoke, blue-grey and deep rose).

Please note that the blackbirds are hand printed onto wood. Therefore the natural grain and marks in the wood may be seen through the print in places.

Kate is a printmaker and designer. She works primarily in the medium of lino printing and birch ply. Her work is inspired by the coastal landscape and its rich flora and fauna. Kate is particularly drawn to the strandline, and she will often be found collecting seaweed, shells, broken pottery and other flotsam and jetsam. Kate uses sketches of her beach finds and surrounding seascapes, playing with scale and detail, to create the compositions for her prints. In addition to her prints, Kate has designed flocks of plywood birds designed to swoop gracefully across the wall or hang suspended in your home. Each bird is laser cut from FSC approved birch ply and then screen printed with feather details and other distinctive markings.
