Description
Create your own silver and horn necklace on a solid silver chain – Wednesday 22nd March
Join our 2.5 hour workshop to explore wax working techniques and create your own recycled silver and highland horn necklace.
No drawing or wax skills are needed for this workshop – it is suitable for complete beginners and we will guide you through each step.
Our jewellery for Folde has always been inspired by the abstract drawings and mark-making we do together. During the workshop, we will guide you through the process of forming mouldable wax, using creative methods of drawing and sculpture to help you create your own unique design.
“Inspired by the still-life, create a single line drawing of what you see in front of you. This could be a shape you find most interesting, an object that catches your eye, a flower you recognise. Try to draw it in one simple line across or around the scan of the horn. Investigate how you can balance your line work with the circle. Where do you put the focus?”
This workshop is focused on creatively exploring the methods around jewellery making, by the end of the evening you will have created your own wax pendant.
We will transform this wax pendant into a wearable piece of recycled silver and highland horn jewellery with a solid silver chain. This necklace should be ready within 3-4 weeks after the workshop. All costs for this process, including delivery to you, are included in the ticket price.
Expect a candle lit evening with an inspiring group, delicious drinks and nibbles.
