A lady in a dress holding a bunch of artichokes!!

This piece is part of a series Lilly is currently creating which is inspired by seasonal veg in all its wonderful shapes and sizes. Each piece of veg is in the hands of a lovely lady in a unique outfit.

This is an original print, printed by Lilly in her home studio.

Printed using oil based black printing ink and a hand mixed bright green ink

The design has been printed on to Lightweight 120gsm, acid free printmaking paper.

The paper size is 8 by 10 inches

It is part of a small limited edition run of prints, each is signed.

Each print in the edition has subtle and unique differences due to the nature of linocut printing.

About the Maker:

Lilly Hedley is an illustrator and printmaker from rural North Wales.

Her work is inspired by British rural heritage, nature & wildlife, folklore and artisan food. She lives in the countryside and is am able to create work from observation of rural life, whether that be a swan drifting over the River Dee, a wildflower meadow dipped in dew, a delicious platter of farm house cheese, a farmer working with tool in hand, or even a figure from a time past.

She primarily work with the mediums of printmaking and pen/ink drawings
